Welcome To Midnight.

As 2016 comes to a close, everyone gets a bit reflective. We look back on the past 12 months and how life has changed since then.  As much as I love spending time with friends and family, the party food, and thinking about what the year has brought me, there’s one thing I always look forward to the most.

The founder of To Write Love On Her Arms, Jamie, wrote a post called “Welcome to Midnight.” Every year since it was posted, I read it. It’s more of a NYE tradition to me than watching the ball drop in Times Square on TV. Jamie’s words embody what I believe we’re all looking for as the new year approaches.A reminder of hope, regardless of what happened in the past year.

“Because isn’t there something inside us that aches for change…
Dreams it to be possible…
To let go.
To hold on.
To leave it behind.
To start again.
To be new.
Is it possible?”

Do yourself a favor, and read the whole thing here.

This year has been full. Of ups, downs, and many moments in between. Here are a few of the big ones.

A new year means another round of blogging attempts. Let’s see if I’ve gotten a sliver more of discipline since 2014! My goal is once a week for 2017. Until January 1, I’ll be giving this page some much needed cosmetic upgrades!  We’ll see how this goes.
